Abstract

During a study to assess the human microaerophilic colonic mucosal microbiota, various Campylobacter isolates were identified based on phenotypic characterisation and 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. Here we report the draft genome sequences of four new Campylobacter strains isolated from colonic mucosal biopsies – a Campylobacter curvus strain isolated from a paediatric patient and three Campylobacter ureolyticus strains isolated from adults.
